Faith Lutheran Tyler was founded in 2016 and began work to reach out to the residents of the Tyler, TX Community. With an emphasis on the word of God, relevant preaching, and outreach, Faith Church has grown in size but our core beliefs haven't changed a bit. We remain focused on our mission “to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” The only way this can be accomplished is through growing in our understanding of Jesus through His Word, the Bible.
Faith Lutheran Tyler worships the Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We accept the Bible as God’s inspired and errorless word. It is the only source of truth for life and for eternity.
Faith Lutheran Tyler is dedicated to preaching the truth, that God has prepared a way to save sinners from eternal damnation by sending His Son, Jesus Christ. By Jesus’ perfect life and innocent death, the sins of all people have been paid for in full. Jesus’ resurrection is proof of this! Whoever believes (trusts) in Jesus has the forgiveness of sins, possesses eternal life now, and has a certain future with Jesus in Heaven. Believers in Jesus have been given the new life of faith by which they offer their lives in service to the Lord and all people.

EPIPHANY MOMENTS
Throughout this season of Epiphany, Jesus has described the governing principles of his kingdom beingcompletely opposite to the governing principles of the world. This week Jesus asks us to befriend ourenemies, to love those who hate us, and to repay evil with good. Worldly logic would say that is a recipefor being walked all over. Yet haven’t we seen this tactic work? When we were Christ’s enemies, heloved us to the point of death. He repays our daily wrongs with the daily goodness of his mercy. In doingso, he won us for himself. Here is the epiphany we badly need to have. Following the strategy Jesus lays out—loving ourenemies—is not a capitulation to evil. It is a means of conquering it.
